Parental controls for Blackberry

Its official. Blackberry now offer their customers Parental controls.  This gives some parents a breath of relief as they can now remove web browsing on their son's BlackBerry whilst allowing him to access BBM. 

You can use parental controls to switch any of the features below on or off: 
  • SMS
  • BBM 
  • Web browser 
  • exchange of files over  Bluetooth 
  • location services
  • uploading videos to YouTube 
  • apps
  • new email accounts
  • Facebook & Twitter
  • camera

Parental Controls, which is included in the BlackBerry® 7.1 OS will be rolled out with the BlackBerry Curve Smartphones (9320 and 922).  A free download of Parental Controls will be made available for BlackBerry® 7.0 OS and BlackBerry® 6 OS next month; and for BlackBerry® Device Software 5.0 shortly after through the BlackBerry App World™ storefront.
